Where do I drop off /pick up my child?

• Ayr Camp – Cambusdoon Sports Club, Burns Wicket, KA7 4NH

There is plenty of free parking at the venue.

What time should I drop off /pick up my child at a camp?

Our multi-sports coaching hours are 10:00 to 15:00

We recommend you drop off around 09:55 to ensure we can get everyone registered and started on time each day. Pick up starts at 14:55.

Breakfast club begins in the morning from 08:00 and Chill Out Club runs until 17:00. Both facilities are always available.

All our venues have CCTV covering the main entry and exit of the building.

What should my child bring?

Your child should arrive at camp in suitable clothes for taking part in multi-sports. It is expected that parents will ensure children arrive at camp with suitable clothing taking into consideration the weather forecast for that day.
Comfortable footwear is essential to allow them to get the most out of their day.
We provide all necessary equipment for the sports and activities your child will take part in.

What should they not bring?

We encourage children not to bring valuables such as tablets etc. If these are brought they are at owners risk. Vision Coaching do not accept any liability if these are damaged, broken or lost whilst attending camps.

Do I bring a packed lunch and snacks?

Yes, please provide your child with enough food and water to ensure that they have enough energy to last the duration of their day at camp. There will be time for snacks and lunch throughout the day. A drinks bottle with their name on it is essential.

Nut free zonePlease be aware that we are a nut free zone.

What happens when it’s wet outside?

Vision Coaching is a multi-sports camp so we believe that parents are expecting children to be active for most of the day. In the event of wet/cold weather children will still go outside and take part in the expert sessions led by our brilliant coaching team. Therefore please check the weather forecast and pack accordingly. Sun cream and a hat when it’s sunny and extra layers, rain jackets and a change of clothes for wet/cold days.

Only if the weather is deemed unsafe or dangerous will children be kept indoors for prolonged periods of time. If children are kept inside additional activities will be available to them. We do not have an indoor games hall so our full multi-sports programme will not be delivered.

Will you provide sun cream?

No, we cannot apply sun screen to all children. Please send the appropriate factor with your child and we will remind them throughout the day to apply it.

If I want to know how my child is getting on at a camp, what do I do?

You can call us on 07542924348 at any time during camp hours to find out how your child is getting on.

We will get in contact with the camp manager and get back to you with an update.

Will my child be in a group with their friends?

If we are aware of friends that are attending camp together we will always do our very best to group them together. This is only possible if you make us aware of this either at the time of booking or when you drop off children in the morning.

Our expert team of coaches are very good at getting everyone to interact with one another to ensure children are making new friends and interacting throughout the day.

What happens if my child picks up and injury at camp?

Injuries and accidents happen and are often unavoidable. If your child is involved in an accident or gets injured playing sports, don’t worry we always have a trained first aider on site.

A trained staff member will assess the injury and complete an incident report form, if they think it’s required they will call you to inform you of the incident. If it’s a minor incident we will inform you at the end of the day.

In the case of an emergency we will always put the wellbeing of the child first and where required we will call emergency services immediately.
